MIYAVAKI FOREST

The club has developed two mini forests within the campus of Bera Munga School. While the traditional plantation method allows for only 80 to 100 trees in a given area, the Miyawaki technique makes it possible to plant over 350 trees in the same space. In both of these Miyawaki forests developed by the club, a variety of medicinal, fruit-bearing, and bird-friendly native trees have been planted. This method allows trees to grow naturally within just 12 to 18 months, creating an environment similar to a small jungle. Established under Rotarys "Supporting the Environment" area of focus, this forest not only sustains the environment but also serves as a source of learning and environmental awareness for students.
