Cyclathon
On 7th September 2025, marking the 100th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar, in collaboration with Marwari Yuva Manch Silchar Titans, Silchar Samriddhi, Silchar Uday, the Rotary Club of Greenland Silchar, and Adventure Club NIT Silchar, organized a cyclathon as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary artist.
The event commenced from the NIT Silchar Campus and concluded at the DSA Ground, Silchar, covering a 10 km route. Despite heavy rainfall, participants showcased remarkable enthusiasm and spirit, reflecting the resilience and inspiration that Dr. Hazarika’s life embodies.
The Cyclathon was more than a sporting event—it was a celebration of Dr. Hazarika’s timeless legacy, his music, and his message of unity and humanity. All participants received certificates and mementos, while winners were felicitated with attractive prizes, making the occasion a memorable tribute to the icon who continues to inspire generations.
