Co-existence is the real intelligence
Coromandel environmental education team conducted an awareness session to the students of govt primary school, mootaikaran chavadi about how to co-exist with nature. In this session they learnt how mud houses stay cool without electricity, how natural ponds clean themselves, and how even a handful of soil can become a home for life.
Their eyes lit up imagining homes built from earth, not cement, classrooms shaded by trees, not concrete… and villages where waste turns into compost instead of trouble.
The highlight was when one child whispered, “If mud can build a house… can my habits build a better Earth?”
The session planted not just ideas, but possibilities the kind that grow roots.
