Public Policy Review for Government of Ladakh
This month there was a big one to handle at our end in collaboration with VARDAAN4U … the (Draft) Ladakh Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2023.
The Draft Rules contain a comprehensive set of measures aimed at protecting the rights and entitlements of individuals with disabilities in Ladakh. These Draft Rules touch on various aspects of life, including education, employment, support, and legal procedures, all working toward fostering inclusivity and accessibility for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
This has come up because Ladakh is now a Union Territory and needs policies and rules of its own. It has been a very satisfying job to create or review the country’s or states’ / union territories’ policies as a resource person for the Government of India.
