Charter Day Program: Cancer Awareness Program
Sakhi Project of Vatsalya Foundation led by Ms. Swati Bedekar and Vardaan4u, a NGO, led by Ms. Sharmila Divatia and Rotary Club of Vadodara Heritage (RCVH) held a health and wellness camp for women in Gajarawadi and was conducted on 26 Oct 2023 between 3 to 4.30 pm. Mrs. Nanda Joshi, the corporator from the area presided. And Dr. Manjusha Yadav from Zydus hospital spoke on the concerns of breast and cervical cancer, diabetes and its damage to the body and lack of adequate vitamins in our bodies and the effect. She also encouraged women to get tested at Zydus hospital where they will be giving minute attention to them. Dr. Bindi Shah conducted a pediatric dental checkup for the children. Around 50 women attended the session and 25 children were checked and given a toothbrush-toothpaste pack by Sakhi.
