Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated today on 26 July 2023 at jilla Seva Sadan, Navsari with the joint effort of Rotary Club of Navsari and Rotaract Club of Navsari Young Turks.
As part of this celebration, Jayantibhai Naik, who is currently in Navsari and has served as a retired engineer in the Air Force, was honored by remembering his contribution to the country. Rotaract Club of Navsari Young Turks s President Rtr.Bhavya Shah welcomed the dignitaries and all the members present at the celebration.
Rotary club of Navsari s President Pinkalba Desai explained the purpose behind celebrating Kargil Day as Victory Day and remembering the sacrifices of the soldiers who martyred for our country, their bravery, patriotism and dedication.

Retired officer in Indian Airforce,Jayantibhai Naik, A soldier from Navsari was also on duty on Bangladesh War Victory Day 1971. who served as a Maintenance Engineer in Indian Air force, said many things in these words when he was on duty for the country. On one occasion, he said that I was serving at Air Forces Jamnagar Air Station at that time. In the war, we have had planes including MiG-21 take off from there and have also died just 300 km away.
The bombardment was carried out in Karachi, Pakistan. The Pakistani Air Force was successful in causing heavy damage. It is not that the attacks were carried out by the Indian Air Force, the Pakistani Air Force also bombarded the Jamnagar Air Station.
Jayanti Bhai Naik also says that he was in Jamnagar at 2 oclock in the night when he came to know of the attack by the Pakistani Air Force. We were on the first floor. From there he jumped 16 feet. At that time, the Indian Air Force also lit up a fake base near the Pakistani Air Force and there was no damage caused by the bombing.
Even at the age of 77 years, his passion and enthusiasm are innumerable. And still he has the spirit to work for the society. Salute to such brave soldiers of Mother India.
Along with this, Rajeshbhai Sharma, associated with many charitable organizations, also encouraged his patriotism and todays young generation to serve the country as well as the society.
At last , Roatract club of Navsari young Turks s Hon. Secretary Rtr. Deven Jodhani thanked the visiting dignitaries, Rotary members, Rotaract members and print media for joining the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations. All the members left with a light snack.
