Girls Personal Hygiene Awareness and Sanitary Pads Distribution

The onset of menstruation means a new phase and new vulnerabilities.
Rotary Club of Surat Tapi recognized and implemented special efforts to reach and co- design with girls- By strengthening confidence and negotiation skills for menstrual health and hygiene.
Members of RCST reached out to SMC School No 14 Althan Tenament and with the help of Mrs.Sweta Jaju created awareness regarding menstruation and the use of sanitary pads which were distributed to them for the use upto 3 months.
Total beneficiaries were 100 girls from std 6,7,8.
