Menstrual Health and Hygiene Awareness Program at Kunta Upper Primary School Kunta, Vapi - 21st Oct 2023.
The Rotary Club of Daman organized a Menstrual Health and Hygiene Awareness Program at Kunta Upper Primary School. The program was led by Rtn. Swapna Iyer and was attended by President Rtn. Apoorva P., Ann Mrs. Nimisha P., Secretary Rtn. Nitin B, Rtn. Vishwajeet B., and Rtn. Anesa Noorani. The program targeted girls in Class 6 to 8.
Discussions covered important topics such as monthly periods, various experiences, mental and physical changes, and more. The program addressed sanitary pad usage, proper disposal, hygiene practices, regular exercise, and the importance of adequate sleep. The main message conveyed was that menstruation is a natural process, not a social stigma, and open communication is crucial.
The orientation concluded with gratitude expressed to the school authorities for their support, and the engaged girls were appreciated for their active participation.
