You Matter - Break the stigma

Rotary Allahabad Midtown organized a mental health session at DP public school on Monday, 11th November. Clinical psychologist Rtn Dr. Padmini Lokesh, a world record holder spoke on issues related to children’s mental health, which is an essential part of overall health of a child. She said that relationships, friendships and community connections are important for good mental health in children. They help a child develop socially, emotionally and physically. It helps to learn to behave positively and cope with strong emotions. It can be achieved through physical activity, quality sleep, healthy eating habits, and a balanced approach to digital technology. Both mental and physical health affect how we think, feel and act on the inside and outside.
