Healthy Nutrition to TB Patient

An initiative towards Disease Prevention and Treatment.
As per WHO estimates, India has the worlds largest tuberculosis epidemic- around 26% - incidence rate of 192 cases per 100,000 of population. While TB is curable, Undernutrition is leading risk factor in TB. To support the needy patients by providing nutritious food while they are under treatment helps to reduce mortality rates. Such supportive program launched by GOI called Ni-kshay Mitra helping to eliminate TB from India by 2025.
RCST has adopted 20 Patients of Kaparada Taluka of Dharmpur area- Valsad District and provided third monthly kit of nutrition food to needy Patients. It will be followed by monthly kit for next three months.
